So Peter Moor who averages 35 in test cricket isn't good enough to play in front of Tsiga ? Any wonder he has left for Ireland , good luck to him
It's not even about Moor. It's about the other 3 or 4 wicketkeepers in Zimbabwe who are better as well.
He has a proven record in test cricket ,the others haven't is my point.

A lot of things have gone terribly wrong this series. Injuries, NOCs. A whole mess. Leaving out Marumani and Madande.
Marumani is not significantly better than most of the guys in this XI. On top of that he is woefully out of form - or perhaps in form if you consider him scoring runs is the anomaly. He's got age and certain fearlessness about him, but we saw that domestic form didn't translate to runs in the Ireland series. The Irish bowling has improved quite a bit the past few years, but this Windies attack is at least a couple of notches better than the Irish.

He's only averaging 54 in the Logan Cup this season, and while that sounds good, you have to remember that guys like Taylor/Williams/Raza/Ervine would average 100+ in a given Logan Cup season. Ben Compton and Maruma are putting up bigger numbers. On second thought, Marumani might actually be able to fit into a middle order spot with his averages. But an average of 54 in the Logan Cup is equal to probably 20 at Test level.

Massive over simplification and exaggeration here.

Also how much Logan Cup cricket do you watch?

By this logic you must think Innocent Kaia's Logan Cup average of 30 will translate to a Test average of about 12.

Or maybe cricket is a much more complex thing than you claim.

Your point is fine but there's zero point in crying over someone who has abandoned the country and isn't even in the top 5 wicketkeepers in the country. He's declined over the past several years.

Tsiga is on a similar level with the gloves and has actually had a better season with the bat. No idea how.

Madande is similar with the gloves and has had two fantastic seasons with the bat, absolutely mindblowingly crazy that he isn't in the squad. Awful decision.

And I don't like Mutumbami but he's better in both disciplines than Moor.
