An excellent result at last, now maybe the players will realise that they can win matches.

Still very much an uneven batting performance though, when will 3 or 4 players hit form at the same time ?, this win is definitely down to the bowlers with 4 of them all bowling well together on the day.

Off the bottom and the next match against Lions who Zim have overtaken.

Chakabva has been in decent form for the chevrons but hes consistantly getting out in the 20s id like to see him score big in the next game...we should beat the lions their one of the weaker teams

At first i thought the selectors where making a big mistake by promoting Chakabva like they did but i think its a good stage for him to pick up a few runs and gain a bit of some confidence before being thrust into the deep end. The S.A league is very competative because most of their national team players play at home so he gets to brush his shoulders with the likes of Gibbs, Kemp, Rudolph and this is good for the lad. He might just snatch Dabengwa's jersy in the national side cuz he has proved quite handy in the late middle order position.

Just the one change in todays side, Brendan Taylor returning for Regis Chakabva.

After being put in by Lions it looked as though the scorers may drop off to sleep, 4-1 off 3.4 overs with Vusi Sibanda out for 2. Hamilton Masakadza has just hit 2 fours though and it is now 13-1 off 4.1.

Chakabva a bit unlucky I think, he deserved to have a bit more time in the team. I guess Dabengwa got lucky with that 30 odd he scored, it saved him.

Masakadza having a bit of a crack, which is good to see. Usually it's Vusi doing the hitting at the beginning, I suppose Masakadza has realised it's a good idea to try and get as many runs as possible in the power plays while there are still wickets in hand.

Good to see, 20 off 18. I hope he goes on to make a really big score, a century would be fantastic. Williams at the crease too, so only a matter of time before he opens up. Hopefully this is a very damaging partnership.

Commentary on this match has stopped at 25-1 on cricinfo. Is anyone else getting updates from another source?
