A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.

Start of play was delayed during rain, but they'll apparently run late tonight to get a full day's play in (rain permitting) so no lost time. Close of play at 7pm Netherlands time.

Lunch, Day Two: Zimbabwe XI 298, Netherlands 32/3 (19 overs; Nijman 14*, Mushangwe 1/3). Netherlands trail by 266 runs.
(Under the Intercontinental Cup's points scheme, 6 points go to whoever leads at the end of the first innings, and a further 14 to the eventual winner.)

Rainsford seems to be bowling with bit of hostility
36.5 Rainsford to W Barresi, no run. Ducks into a short one which doesn't get up much, struck on the chin

Ha ha 78-7 we are getting through them quite nicely now. Thats three in the last 9 overs, keeping a check on the scoreing rate too.

Yes, a really good position but still much too early to talk about the possible outcome of this match, the lads are doing their best to claim those 6 first innings points though
Netherlands struggling at 87-7 from 45 overs
Mushangwe 2-21, Rainsford 2-23, Maruma 1-7 & Waller 1-11

Are there any bonus points for an innings victory? And what are the rules for enforcing the follow on? Is 200+ lead a must or is it 150+?maehara wrote:(Under the Intercontinental Cup's points scheme, 6 points go to whoever leads at the end of the first innings, and a further 14 to the eventual winner.)
