Oh dear, another poor 1st innings performance with the bat and another goodbye to a decent bonus point tally :(

Well done to Bothwell Chapungu, we certainly needed his runs today

179-9 against Rocks :?

We'll certainly be needing a top class bowling performance tomorrow

Start delayed Rain this morning. Think that could be the theme of this match! Still after yesterday may be not a bad thing. ;)

Now we can look forward to 80 overs of spin from Cremer and Higgins :)

BUt on a serious note i think Malcolm Waller needs to be left out for a match or two in order to get a bit of a kick up the back side as he keeps on getting to 20 and throwing his wicket away.

Certainly a wet end to 2009 but we should have home advantage over Eagles in the Faithwear semi finals, hopefully the lads will hit form again when the cricket restarts in january.

Hope all you Rhinos had a good christmas, wherever you are, and 2010 is an even more successful year for you all

:D

I almost forgot, best of luck to Dylon Higgins and the rest of the lads when he leads them off to New Zealand for, hopefully, a good campaign in the U19 World Cup

First question of 2010 is already here and it's for you Lou ;)

Why is Riki missing from the line-up today ?

Not a lot of spare time recently but keeping an eye on the Rhinos whatever work may throw up.

A pretty ordinary performance against Mountaineers in the last Logan match, nobody managing much with the bat in yet another poor 1st innings batting performance, just 1 bonus point :( the bowling wasn't much better with nothing happening until the 100 overs was almost up, just 1 bonus point there as well, i think we were lucky that the weather was poor or a defeat was going to be the outcome.

Much better in the Faithwear, if we could have broken the Matsikenyeri/Masakadza partnership early it would have been a rout, great spell from Michael Chinouya and a good start for Mluleki Nkala, also another excellent knock from Brendan Taylor as he finished as overall top scorer in the Faithwear, shame he couldn't have got just 1 more run though ........

I'm still surprised that we signed Nkala, although i'm more than happy for him to show me i'm completely wrong :D He seems to have made a perfectly good start including his first 50 for Rhinos in the Logan match against Tuskers, he's just been dismissed with our score at 129-2 with 13 overs remaining to get another 41 to win, Vusi and BRM the 2 men at the wicket.

Talking of Vusi, what a man, over 1000 runs and 7 hundreds in the Logan, and then there are those two other 1st class hundreds in the Intercontinental Cup as well !!! if only ZIm were back in the test match arena ;)
