So Bowie and Devon Bell make a return to the ZC structure. Bell has the potential to be a very good leg spinner, though Bowie was very much a medium paced bowler who swung the new ball a bit. Will be interesting to see how they both go

Not shocked to see a very weak Eagles squad named.
Have been watching their practice games and the squad for the first game is a shocker if being in form is anything to go by.

Coach Timoni has included his very very average son in the squad as expected and left out Herbert Chikomba.
Gerald Alaseni and Brandon Diplock have been the standout bowlers at almost all of their buildup matches by a great margin and neither have made the 13.

Tafadzwa Muzarawetu and Admire Munyumwa have been included as the seamers even though their bowling has been average at best.

Nathan Waller is the captain I assume even though he is in as a batsman nowadays and hasn't scored over 10 in any of the build up games.

From what I have seen this is the squad for the game vs Rhinos.

1. Nathan Waller
2. Simba Gupo
3. Joylord Gumbie
4. Cephas Zhuwao
5. Craig Dollar
6. Timoni Jnr
7. Tafadzwa Muzarawetu
8. Baba D Munyaradzi
9. Bright Mugochi
10. Brighton Zwawi
11. Admire Manyumwa
12. Lovett ? (Not sure on surname)
13. Not sure but think Gary Chirimuta

I'm just happy to see a load of new names and faces in these squads, it's very refreshing. :)

Tafadzwa Muzarawetu got smashed all around a 2nd XI league in the UK this summer.

Wallers back is fucked again so cant bowl any more so is just a batsman these days.

Just having a look at the Rhinos website, no idea how true the info is but the following are listed as players

Bothwell Chapungu, Ronnie Chokununga, Prince Masvaure, Mark Mbofana, Tarisai Musakanda, Remembrance Nyathi, Steven Trenchard, Malcolm Waller, Sean Williams, PJ Moor, Nyasha Mayavo, Kudakwashe Bhasikoro, Mike Chinouya, Tendai Chisoro, Graeme Cremer, Neville Madziva, Carl Mumba, Kudakwashe Munyede, Richard Muzhange & Tinshe Panyangara

Points of interest to me, the arrival of Sean Williams, the return of Richard Muzhange, the fact that Vusi Sibanda and Bradley Wadlan are both missing

Perhaps Mr MidWest Rhino could let us know whether this info is correct, due to be added to or plain incorrect

Thanks in anticipation Mr MWR ;)

Vusi Sibanda is off to the Eagles, Wadlan is playing grade cricket in Australia and Muzhange is fully fit and is expected to play on Wednesday.

Cripes, so we start off the season without Masvaure, Waller, Williams, Moor, Chisoro, Cremer, Madziva & Panyangara as well as Sibanda and Wadlan having left,

it's a good job that the other three sides will be pretty weak as well, I guess the Rhinos tea lady will be opening the batting this week, let's hope she's got some friends who can bat along side her ..........

Great news about Muzhange though, he seemed a great prospect, along with Chinouya, Mumba, Bhasikoro & Munyede there should be some hope in the field

Eagles make a change to the touring team as Brandon Diplock comes in for Admire Manyumwa.
