ZC Formally Invites Applications for National Coach Post

Post by maehara »

Get your copy of the job spec here. :) Doing it all above-board again, at least. Applications are to be sent to the "Chairman: Cricketing Committee", which is Alastair Campbell, by 21 January.

The application asks for a person who has a minimum of 5 years coaching at senior level.

Does this rule Heath Streak and Grant Flower out?

Rules me out i only have 4 years ;)

Sadly 5 years' experience of sniping from the sidelines doesn't count, either - I may have had a shot otherwise...

would be nice if a candidate of high calibre we dont know about snuck under the radar to get the post perhaps a foreign one and streak and flower ended up support staff bowling/batting coaches although i guess mike hendrick already has the bowling coach position

I think Grant Flower would be a more than suitable fielding coach as he's been one of Zimbabwes finest in the past. Whether or not this will happen is another issue.
