Shouldn't be a criteria because not all players were given the same opportunity as others.

Re: Zimbabwe cricket Hall Fame
It should extend back to the Rhodesian era. We had some serious players who ended up playing for the Springboks.
You can’t leave Traicos, Proctor, Bland and quite a few others out of a Hall of Fame.
Out of the Zim era you’d have to include Price, he was ranked 1 in the World.

Re: Zimbabwe cricket Hall Fame
Campbell was captain for a long time, but was that era’s version of Hammy. For the talent he had he didn’t come off that often.
You’d probably have to put Murray Goodwin in there. He was a fantastic player and BT would be in the mix when he retires.

Re: Zimbabwe cricket Hall Fame
Campbell has 7 ODI centuries only BT has more
Also scored ODI hundred v Australia in Australia and a Test hundred in India, pretty good.
BT would get in once he retires

Re: Zimbabwe cricket Hall Fame
Campbell was an unbelievable batting talent. I’ve lost count of how many times he got himself in and was looking like a million bucks and then gave it away. He was right up there with Houghton talent-wise. He certainly had more batting ability than Andy, which shows how much of mind game cricket is.
I’ll never forget listening to him telling a young guy that his get out of jail shot (when he was getting bogged down) was a pick-up over mid-wicket and he went out to it quite a few times.
He was a really astute captain as well, and was really smart at man management, better than Andy, who used to berate his players a bit too often, although he calmed down a lot after some initial show stopping tyrades. I think Andy terrified his team mates with his single-mindedness and determination.

Re: Zimbabwe cricket Hall Fame
I think our usual commentary team said during the last series that Andy once sent a player off the field for not being focused
sometimes that aggressive mentality is what makes the great players great.
