Club Cricket- Where are they to be found

Post by gargamel »

I am looking for a club cricket team to play for i want to know the following

1. How many club cricket leagues are being played
2. What clubs are taking part in the leagues
3.Contact details of the team coordinator or the team runner
4.Training days and times
5. Club fees
6.When the team season training begins

I am an old club ametuer who loves the sport . I am in need of serious fitness work during the winter and i want to play for a competitive side

Well what do you do ? bat ? bowl ? keep wicket ? Age would be useful too, and what standard of cricket you've played at.
Because I play for a good side in a good league, we wouldn't just take on any old cricketer...

Im a bit of everything middle lower oder batsman , bowl off spin , im 27 , i played in the Vigne Cup Div 2 from 200 to 2002 for the UZ and then played a bit of club cricket in Grahamstown and In Cape Town havnt played in over 18 months coz of work commitments i want to get back to competitive level . I dont mind being a nets bowler or batter for a whole season until i get back to a decent level to play club cricket.

Garga just so we are clear are you a saffer that's now in z? Or a zimbo thy went to Sa and now returned? Or something else?

Your best bet is if you know where u going to live (let's just say Bulawayo ) find a local club in your area, email them your situation and chances are they will slot you in to a lower grade. Then u make a few friends and if u are good u ride up the ranks should u want to do that.

Thats generally what happens in oz. Can't see zom any different
