Re: Zim selection panel fired
That's pretty harsh, I agree with Jemisi that the selections have been pretty good except for the Masakadza exclusion. At least Campbell is still there.

And Coventary's inclusion
I CANT believe that! And if anyone had to go here is Campbell cos am sure he is the one who had the biggest say. david cant be older than 32! Isn't he too young to be a selector? He should actually be fighting for a jersey! I think Rennie didnt Agree with Campbell, One of them is responsible for dropping Hamilton and We all know Campbell is the one who insisted on Coventary.Convenor of selectors Alistair Campbell was spared as the board wielded the axe on David Mutenderaa and John Rennie to replace them with the vocal Givemore Makoni and experienced coach Kevin Curran.
Re: Zim selection panel fired
Who was responsible for picking Dabengwa v Bangladesh? That decision along with leaving out Hamilton Masakadza were the two decisions that mystified me the most.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Don't really know what to make of this one. Don't really know what the board expects out of this change. Whatever the case might be, these new guys must at least display about 30% variation form the previous set.
In fact, apart from Campbell, I didn't even know that these guys made up the panel in the first place! And just 3 of them at that. Rennie's been around, but Campbell had just come back from the commentary box and yes, mutendera should've been playing FC cricket instead. I suppose the positive is that Curran, not only coached some of these guys, but he's been in the domestic setup for a while. I wonder what happening with Dave Houghton re Zim international cricket.

Re: Zim selection panel fired
Well I see how he spared himself..Ross Cambell is in charge of the cricketing committee which is in charge of selecting the selection committee.
I guess back home conflict of interest does no account for much , anyway that's a debate for another forum...In all he has supposedly done for cricket in Zimbabwe surely even he can such decisions will be construed .
Where's people like Mr DL Houghton in all of this?
