Lets see if Cremer gets the nod. Evans will probably sit out.

Or more likely we will see Welly

Zimbabwe's T20 team is the weakest amongst teams in all three format.. Test team looks pretty good now, ODI team looks decent but T20 is weak.

I don't understand the value in playing Musekiwa, he has barely done anything of note so far and doesn't bowl either. Myers we've seen in the past is a very limited T20 player. Munyonga is another I'm not convinced on but I'm OK to give him a few more games.

The problem is that they still do not have good T20 players knocking on the door. Naqvi, if eligible, is one option and Jono Campbell.

Curran can be given a chance as an anchor, he is technically far better than these hacks who are playing so might yet do well or at least better , but I don't know.

T20 is a format that we just play internationals in, get whooped, go beat minnows in qualifiers and rinse and repeat with the odd iconic win or two every year against a "big" team. Nowhere near enough exposure at domestic level for the players to ever develop skills in, which leads to looking undercooked in internationals and never getting franchise opportunities except for a few like Raza, Burl, Richard and Blessing. Afghanistan's main guys play IPL CPL LPL whatever PL they can find and that's where they get that X factor.

Something has to change at the domestic level to see any improvement in internationals. Either that or more A tours etc against Namibia and co.

Glad we'll have the tri series before the T20 WC to get some more games under our belt, against good sides in SL and Pak, hopefully that'll make them a bit sharper in this format. Shame because we've seen the improvement over this season in Tests, could do the same in T20 if we just applied the principles to domestic cricket ffs.

If I had to list the worst things thst have EVER happened to Zimbabwe Cricket in order it would be-
1. The fentanyl Brass band
2. Bvute
3. Chingoka
4. Mukhulani
5. Masakadza H
6. Chigumbura
7. Mutendira
8. Makoni
None of them come close to this band. 17 suicides today and 9000 people stayed away.

So I heard that ZC apparently got some spurious warning from the woke ICC earlier this year for ‘failing to control supporters’ due to the mildly offensive/racist/misogynistic lyrics sang by fans and audible on broadcasts.

I assume the brass band is in response to that.

It’s a shame because I don’t really care about the mildly crude lyrics, and considering 99.9% of viewers on TV of any Zim match are Indians who do not speak Shona, what’s the problem?

It’s completely killed the atmosphere and I miss it.
