I managed to catch a show on Zimbabwe TV lastnight. Supa Mandiwanzira (CEO of Moutaineers franchise) was interviewing Mr Bvute and Mr Campbell. The issues I managed to pick up were:
1. Campbell and his team works indepedently (I wonder how this will work out when these guys get thier cheques from ZC).
2. US$ 250,000 up for grabs in the logan cup.
3. Top franchise players may earn upto US$5,000 per month in salaries only.
4. Anyone, anywhere can play for Zimbabwe as long as the have a Zimbabwean passport. (Meaning one doesnt neccessaraly have to play in the franchises to play for Zim.)
Lets hope ZC stick to their word and give Champbell and his team some space.

ZC's Full Member funding from the ICC is around US$10million a year, I believe. Franchises also have their own sponsorship deals.eugene wrote:Where is all this money coming from?

That's an interesting point ! I guess, the indication is towards the former players. I think, this point can be explained like this any player can represent the Zimbabwean national side. In order to do that they don't need to play franchise cricket as a must as long as they have a Zimbabwean passport, I think Zimbabwean nationality also.tawac wrote:

Campbell and co certainly should be given the space to work in their own way.
