My post of the NZ tour must have escaped your notice, Mountaineers scored over 330 runs in a day against NZ A! I suspect this particular ND side would've fetched 450, and failed to score 400 over two innings against the current Shingi-Chatara-Tiripano-Mushangwe Goats attack.

Despite going at close to 5rpo for their innings, they couldn't go at over 3 against my beloved Panyangara. Those very same scenes played themselves countless times in that NZ A Series. As you recall, none of our current international bowlers managed to even come close to achieving the success he had against a good number of the NZ batsmen who gave them a hiding in the just concluded tour - Brownlie, Franklin & Guptil!

Have you bothered to even review how lowly those ND batsmen fare against other batsmen in that Top 30! I doubt that Justin Marshall of yours provides a better package as an international player than Matsi who has comparable, if not superior batting figures, and can bow&field!! One would go so far as to argue that AJrvis would never be that successful in the Logan Cup against the top orders of the top three(besides Eagles)!

2-53 in his latest match, seems to be doing well and restoring the reputations of Zimbabwe cricket

Last week it against ND it was 19yr-old/2match Small to show him how to pick up the big wickets; this week he's not there and that honour belongs to 22yr-old/1match Smidt! :)

They've plucked another Saffer. With a few of the other injured CD bowlers returning, competition might be stiff. Results in this match and the next should secure Jarvis' spot. Overall he's done well!

A sportive declaration by CD, and Jarvis not among wickets in second dig yet: http://scoring.blackcaps.co.nz/livescor ... ecard.aspx

That may have been sarcasm on Hhm's part.

5-81 in his second match off 29ish overs. Not a bad return.

He may not be putting daylight between himself, and what I would class club level bowlers who came in as replacements alongside him, but nope, I'm genuinely pleased, as I have been of his entire stint in NZ so far. In fact, I would be disappointed if he was dropped when all the regular seamers return. I was also equally happy when he was in Eng playing club&2ndXI county cricket, and was hoping he wouldn't have made the Test XI after genuinely poor returns against Aus A in the 4day games(& was still smuggled into the Test XI :? ), but instead return to Eng and secure a 1XI spot! Unfortunately we're stuck with him prematurely! :(

Glad to hear it wasn't sarcasm.
