South Africa will take on Zimbabwe in a two-match ODI series in early November. It will be Zimbabwe's first international visit to South Africa since 2005. The two teams last faced each other in an ODI more than two years ago, in August 2007. Zimbabwe have just concluded a 4-1 series win at home against Kenya, but were beaten 1-4 by Bangladesh before that.
South Africa have had a good year in ODIs with series wins over Australia both home and away, but had a disappointing Champions Trophy where they were knocked out in the league phase.
The two ODIs will be staged at Willowmore Park in Benoni and SuperSport Park in Centurion on November 8 and November 10 respectively.

looks like this is a move by South Africa to make sure they are not rusty like they were before the champions trophy in preparation for the England tour
And we Zimbabweans are very happy to accept

I found it and posted at the same time as well
I've deleted mine so that we don't have too many threads, i think it's pretty obvious that cricinfo didn't use those useless, lazy, blind pigeons from Masvingo to deliver the news

Re: Zimbabwe to tour South Africa for ODIs
Just saw the news on the supersport website and immediately came here in excitement
So we'll finish the 5th ODI in Chittagong on Thur Nov 5, fly to SA and be playing Sun the 8th. This means one thing: we need to wrap the series 3-0 and give Price and Masakadza some rest before the SA matches
But we have a squad of 15 in Bangladesh, so not everyone can get to rest, not forgetting domestic matches when they return (esp Vermuelen for us Tskers, we can't afford to rest him
) Seriously though, from zero cricket we'll soon be concerned about burnout for the top players

Now confirmed by Cricket South Africa:

...which is putting some noses out of joint, as apparently Cricket Kenya were expecting to be the touring side. Ooops...

Re: Zimbabwe to tour South Africa for ODIs
I think we where all crying for Zimbabwe to play more cricket but to of think we have already played 20 ODI this year. Its sad that most of these games are against Banglabash and Kenya. But these guys are full time cricketers and should be up for these back to back series's. My only major concern would be with the not so fit guys in the team I will single out Raymond Price and Mark Vermuelen. In our fielding these guys will be the weakest link coz if we play tough opposition like the Proteas you will need to be sharp especially with regards thing you can control. The bowlers are diffinately going to get the long end of the stick in this series, I only hope our batsman will also be up for the task.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
