Indeed. Keep the votes coming. And when Craig inevitably wins, perhaps we'll contrast that with arguments why he's a number 3 that won't occasionally open the batting, unlike Sanga, Williamson, Dravid, Pujara etc. (Of course Kriterion will say he's superior to those guys, plus too valuable to Zimbabwe than those players to their teams :D )

A number 3, who can't open and should not open! The contradictions in Zim cricket grow with each passing day. I won't vote just yet, but Hami for me obviously.

No idea what pariah is babbling on about, many number three's haven't opened. Hami at three for me, I like Ervine at four.

Usually they do in an emergency. Almost all of them have had to.

Well yes, but the quiz question isn't who is an emergency opener that also plays at three, it is who do want batting at three and only three.

Emergencies dont count.

And Craig is more important to ZIM than Dravid was to India. If Dravid failed they had Sehwag, Tendy, Ganguly, Laxman and later Dhoni to bank on. For Zim its Craig, Taylor, Raza and then Tiripano and Cremer.

Ervine for me. I like the alternating left and right handers through the middle.
