Maybe i'm being unfair to Taibu, it's just that he is a senior player, an ex-captain, the man has been around and played wwith and against the best, he's now looking like someone who's forgotten that cricket isn't all about 20/20, the shots he played tuesday were inexcusable
I totally agree with you. Seems as if he is too obsessed since hitting Mendis. He is a key in our futre plan of things.

The good problem is both current openers are really playing well and need not to be separated.Waller also strengthened his case and my personal favourite Covy really played well in first ODI. m sure he will come good. The real headache is Mutizwa, this lad should playbut where

I'm very glad to see that Detective RDS is not locked up in jail after the water bottle incidents on tuesday
C'mon Train Driver, I'm the detective. How can I get in ?
That was indeed very embarassing for Bangladeshi point of view. The crowd shouldn't have reacted like that way. They should have been more patient. It was completely a lapse of emotion. I understand that Bangladesh wasn't in full rhythm in the 1st ODI. The domestic fixture of Bangladesh has to accept the responsibility for that. The Bang players have to play an ODI match immediately after they finished premier T20 league.
For the 2nd ODI, the Zimbabwean bowling was rather very poor. Zimbabwe was completely outplayed by world's no 1 all rounder and one of my favourite player Shakib al hasan.
I reckon, Zimbabwe will need to make some changes for the next match. Mark Vermeulen will surely be under serious contention to make the XI provided he is fit. Christopher Mpofu may also get a look in.

And today he was just unlucky how many times is he going to be confronted with an opening pair who are going to go for a shot a ball? the answer is hardly ever and by the time he was brought back later on his confidence was shot to bits. He just needs to learn what length to bowl and he will be fine.
The solution is to keep on playing Jarvis and Cremer as they are very talanted cricketers who are improving all the time. Was a bit dissapointed in Price today but hey he is allowed to have a bad match.
Firstly I have just read this post and not anyone's preceding it but I do think that no one is criticizing the lighty.I for one said that he should learn to bowl full. The ball is new and even though you play on roads in Bdesh u give yourself a chance by getting it up there with swing etc.You cannot bowl 128 and bowl short simple fact you need to be tight and have a working plan.....even Plaitjies and Langerveldt here @ UWC know short is not the way to go because batters now use bowling machines no matter what speed you bowl @... to make it worse Plaitjies bowls 150 so there is my qualm.I have plenty of time for him and every other upcoming medium seamer. If they get hit off the front foot then the batters are good.See how Chamu bowled I thought he bowled very well given the conditions. So lets give Jarvis time but in his learning curve lets also give him or anyone else CONSTRUCTIVE criticism esp when you see the batters where lining him up for it.But I do hope he learns and these are just his early days.as for Durtty well I for one knows that spinner you do not always have your day esp playing in Asia where guys are raised on spinning wickets.
@ TRAIN driver I feel you and how frustrating it seems that we make two steps in front and then three backwards.Me you and a lot of other folks out there who want the team to do well do hope for a bit of consistency esp from the more senior players and maturity which comes from experience. And I think its an issue that needs to be addressed on an individual and team perspective quickly within the team set up because humans are creature of habits and I do hope this series its a case of DEJAVIEUX..

When i say criticizing i meant suggesting that he has been overhyped and is not the new pace sensation that everyone said he would be. Of course constuctive criticizm is an important part of sport and he bowled the wrong length today and he will learn from that. But my main point was that lets not diguard him after a battering from the play a shot a ball Bangladesh top order. He needs to be given time. He will learn from his mistakes so lets have faith in him and get behind him.
Earlier when i was saying that Jarvis didnt look as quick as we all had hoped him to be, i didnt mean it in a vicious way, its just that when he was running up to bowl i got the impression that he had much more left in the tank
He was bowling 131 kph tops, and only getting his shorter delivery about chest high. Now i was only getting frustrated because we all know how tall and strong he is, and i just fealt that he was bowling too short. But that's not to knock the young lad coz he's gonna be a fine player. Just needs to bowl a tad fuller
so I guess we all agree then...we need to find the right line and length first up n didnt see hwy he didnt come round to the left handers instead of him of him cutting across the wicket...Think he needs to bowl with a guy like Pricey at mid off it helps when you got a cricketing thinking brain right by your side coz he wont know much at the moment
Now I don’t understand why Tatenda Taibu is being pilloried on this forum for his batting. Granted his first match was exceedingly poor but the man deserves nothing but admiration for the way he batted in the second match. Before he got injured he was batting at a run a ball (sensibly if not belligerently) and afterwards he still got a few boundaries. Now with the limited feet movement he had improvised shots were quite the only way to go about it, especially since they came off!
