Scots V ZimXI at Dubai in Oct 2010; R Watson out of contract
According to this article from "The Press and Journal" article, Harare born former skipper of Scotland, Ryan Watson has rejected Scottish central contract, and Zimbabwe XI are likely to play Scots in Dubai in October 2010 as part of Intercontinental Cup.

I think Scotland are just shooting themselves in the foot there as they are the ones that will have to pay to hire the ground, would of been easier just to agreed to tour us!!!!!

I don't suppose Ryan Watson could be encouraged to play for Zimbabwe?

As I understand the qualification rules, he'd need to complete a 4-year qualification period in Zim domestic cricket first. As he's currently qualified for an Associate side, he'd be able to carry on playing for Scotland in the meantime (if they want him).
