Another 100 for Matsikenyeri we have to give this guy credit as it looks Campbell has given him a real kick up the backside and it has worked.
Ey, Stewy has been putting in these consistant performances since the start of the season. He has really found his fit now and deserves his place in the national side. I'm really impressed by Gware though. He will be difficult to dislodge from the Eagles attack. Lets hope we are up for this run case. Good to see Mufambisi in the side as well.

The score keeps hopping about all over the place, it now seems that Eagles were 10-1 overnight, which explains why Garwe is batting at 3, in reply to Mountaineers 291.

Latest seems to be 130-4 in the 33rd over

Mutizwa 41 & Garwe 34 in a 2nd wicket stand of 79 with Butterworth and Lamb currently at the wicket, Shingi Masakadza 2-15 and a wicket each for Matsikenyeri and Maruma.

Mountaineers 291

Mashonaland Eagles 137/4 (34.2 ov)

This is looking to be a closely faught match with the Eagles two most experianced players in Lamb and Butterworth starting to build a partnership.

Is it time to give Shringai Masakadza a go in the national side as he has been at the top of the bowling charts for the last two years now so he must have something?

Mountaineers 291
Mashonaland Eagles 242/5 (66.0 ov)
Stumps - Day 2

The Eagles are very well placed here with Greg Lamb leading the way with 77 not out which will enhance his national team claims.

Im very worried about the standard of bowling in the first class game as apart from a few decent spinners it is very very average and will limit the progression of our batsman long term.

Surely Lamb is knocking the door down in terms of natioanl team selection ?? He's consistantly put in strong performances with both bat and ball.

Lamb hasnt been overly impressesive this season but good knocks like this will surely brighten his chances for national team honours.

Looks like Maruma doing a good job of cleaning the Eagles tail. From an over night score of 242/5 to 305/9 not good at all. But we have a first innings lead which is good considering this game may be heading for a draw. Nice to see Matsikinyere bowl more on the domestic scene. This would give him additional leverage in the national side.

Make that 315 all out. The morning sessions surely belonged to Mountaneers. Eagles manging to add only 73 runs on the over night score of 242.

Eagles 315/10 Lamb 85 Chakabva 55 Maruma 4/24 S.Masakadza 3/48

No-one going on to make a big score is becoming a bit of a trend in our domestic game, i mean the eagles have got 5 players with 30+ but none make a 100.

Still a nicely balanced match, Oh jarvis got one. Nice 8-)
