Let me add a clue for everyone: Although he played all the roles I have specified in the question, he did not perform them at the highest level. But he sure was a very influential character in domestic circuit.

I originally thought it may have been Judge Ahmed Ebrahim, but your clues pointed to more of a stalwart of the club scene, hence Abid Hamid. I remembered reading a couple of articles on cricinfo/brmtaylor.com about him.
