[Match Thread] Rocks v Eagles (Logan Cup)

Post by Train Driver »

Eagles go into this match as clear leaders and are now the only unbeaten team, Rocks meanwhile are down at the bottom and in need of some points to keep in touch with the others.

No news from Masvingo as yet on either the teams or the weather.

* cricinfo now showing that there will be no play before lunch * * Weather 16C and cloudy *

Thanks! These updates are now becoming more and more real time. Very useful. Keep up the great work!

As an aside, it would be even more easy if these new generation Zim players create Twitter accounts we could follow. It might end up like what Mike Atherton predicted earlier this year:

From Cricinfo quotes:
It will not be long before batsmen and bowlers are twittering from the crease: 'Freddie bowling fast, ducked another bouncer, LOL.'
Mike Atherton peers into the crystal ball on the day Phillip Hughes announced his axing from the Australian team on Twitter

And Gware strikes early Rocks 4/1 after 3.1overs. Nice start by the Eagles.

And Trevor Gware gets wicket no. 2 for the Eagles. Mallier gone for 12 caught behind. It would seem Gware is getting some movement off the deck which is great for the young lad's prospects for that second seamer place in the national team.

It looks as though play started on time his morning after all, presumably it just took time for the score to reach cricinfo as lunch has been taken with 30 overs bowled.

Rocks 57-2 at lunch then, Chibhabha 26*, Tikolo 14* with Marillier 12 and Chauluka 0 the men out, Garwe has 7-3-15-2
