Agreed mate but by that time Zimbabwe need to groom some youngsters who can take their positions. I think the likes of Burl, Muskanda, K-long, Murray... They aren't that bad.. Moor will be around... Need to be groomed.
And I equally agree with you, but Williams and Taylor aren't the batters to be subsidised for the young lads. Zuwaho, Chibahba, Chigumbura and I hate to say it, but maybe soon to be Hamilton Mazakadza need to be cut. I've always stuck up for Hammie, but his scores of late, opening the batting, when we needed some seniority and solidity up front, have been diabolical and his shots even worse. Ervine is falling into that category, but his technique is better than all of the above and has the natural ability to grind it out and score ugly runs. Plus, he's been solid in the longer format.
I'm just saying that we need to hold onto Sean Williams, Raza, Taylor and maybe even Bobby (from what I saw in South Africa); having youth in the side is one thing, but the Pakistan series was a great template for what can happen when experience isn't there too. Roche, Murray, Tari, Kamu and Mavuta all performed well enough in that series, but they looked confused as to how to play the situation.
