I was the first to call this; Ryan Burl's opening into this side is at numbers 1 and 2, he's not getting in the middle order because of the strength

Moor has opened in ODIs but for Tests it’s BT then before him Terry Duffin.
I agree with Sloan that Burl’s Avenue into the side is via opening, but I doubt he’ll be putting his hand up to open in the Logan Cup.
Unless Chari does well in then 2nd innings there needs to be a change for the 2nd Test, apart from that 80 he made against Sri Lanka he’s really struggled.

If Zimbabwe can post 350...this inexperienced BD lineup could really start to panic.
It would be interesting to see how these BD guys do under serious pressure.

Abu Jayed looks a good bowler Kriterion, he’s be very useful in England, NZ & South Africa. Reminds me of Jimmy Anderson with his action.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 10:04 pmIf Zimbabwe can post 350...this inexperienced BD lineup could really start to panic.

Why K-LONG wasn't even given a chance is surprising
I agree with the Burl opening debate ...Chari has failed...
Even Ervine opening would be great
Re: [Match Thread] Bangladesh v Zimbabwe : 1st Test, Sylhet
To be honest I think we need 450 in the first innings to be competitive.

Yeah. I know I didn't rate Jayed at all earlier on this forum, but I did that based on the fact that he a) doesn't have pace b) isn't at least 6 feet tall (my top 2 criteria for fast bowlers and c) didn't make his debut till age 24 (most BD players debut by age 21-22).
But having actually watched him, he does have a lovely action (almost identical to Anderson's) and is one of the very few BD seamers who can consistently swing the new ball. He will certainly be a handy bowler to have at at 25, isn't terribly old yet. So I hope he can get 7-8 years of service in for us. With Fizz sharing the new and old balls with him, we just need a third seamer. Preferably a tall guy with 140 pace.
