Problem with the BT approach is that there is still too much time to play in the game. We dont want a Sri Lanka situation where there was just enough time in the game for them to think about winning and not just saving the test. He could have faced 60 balls for that 24
With 250 overs left in the game - and you could actually squeeze in another 15-20 extra given both teams will bowl lots of spin - ZIM batting at 2 an over would have to bat another 150 overs to set a target of 450. And that would leave just 100 overs to get the 10 wickets. At this position the balance between chaseable/drawable targets is highly premature. When you are leading by 150 at the start of the 3rd day, you can only think of batting the other team into submission with a 300, 400, 500 target or whatever.

My main problem was that he just put it there to be caught
Yeah he didn't need to hit so many balls in the air, he could have been positive and kept it on the carpet

Taylor was struggling against Spin, it would have been better to send Chakabva ahead of Taylor

Is that a genuine opinion?

I think we probably edged that session. If these two can bat together for a bit longer we will be a good way there.

ZIM killed that session. 90 runs at 3 an over and only lost 2 wickets? Thats a good session in a regular match...with a 140 lead its money in the bank.

In the next session wants 100 more runs and then smash. 450-470 is defendable for Zimbabwe

This makes me wish Zimbabwe played more test matches. Hopefully now that Ireland and Afghanistan have test status they will have some fixtures against one another.
