Heck, I just want to take the rest of the day off and enjoy the moment, but not possible unfortunately. This is such an emotional result. Nobody expected us to win, and to win so convincingly! Most people contributed in their own way, even Chari played long enough not to get us into some 3/2 kind of scenario...
Next match, we should revert to 8-3 and look to draw the game and aim for the series! May be this is too ambitious, but an 8-3 is a must with both Ervine and Burl coming in.
+1

Our opening stands of 35 and 19 exceeded expectations massively.

Both of Hami's innings were higher than all 22 BD innings.

You always know it was a team victory when its hard to pick the man of the match!

I can bet you the next test is going to see the ball spinning by lunch on the first day. They will never prepare a wicket like that again  too much depended on the toss.

Is this Sean Williams' 'career defining match' ?? It's been said he only scores when the game is over or in losing causes. But this match he played a top innings and was MOTM

Is this his career defining match ?

When was the last time we won 2 sessions in a row so convincingly?

Wellington and Mavuta didnt do much. The selections for the second test are going to be interesting. I would bench both of them and add Mpofu and Ervine
Well..., given that we have won this first Test so convincingly, I don't anticipate any changes anymore unless we get an (unlikely) seaming wicket and therefore add Mpofu as a third seamer. Don't know though why Ervine would even be an option, hes just as bad as Chibhabha against spin. By the way, is Chatara injured? I didn't watch much but I saw Jarvis bowling endlessly. I must say again, kudos on Jarvis!

Congratulations to the boys. I don't know how much I have been vindicated on Chakabva; I saw somewhere a positive reaction by Jaybro.

I don't think we will repeat our first Test heroics , but what the hell, this rare victory tastes so sweet.

It's taken a while but it seems Sean Williams the Test players has truly arrived.

Ervine would be better than Chari. And Burl would be probably worth more than Wellington. Mavuta has to stay as the leg spinning option on whatever wicket they give.

Apart from his shocking 2nd innings exit he was brilliant.
