Just want to give credit to Raza's spell on the 4th morning, he bowled 17 overs and 2 hours straight. Whilst he took 3 wickets he could have took a few more it was such a quality spell, he had Kayes beaten numerous times and trouble all the batsman he bowled to.

I think the way the Bangladeshis crumbled afterwards had a lot to do with Raza's opening spell

Absolutely. I like everything about him. I think he deals with failure better than any of our players as well. It’s an important trait, especially for a Zim cricketer!
I don’t mean that badly, but a lot of our problems are PTSD related. He just brings so much energy and positivity.

Raza outbowled Taijul.

One of the things I noticed, was Raza got a lot more turn than Miraz. I think its because Raza was bowling in the right areas (wider outside the stumps) whilst Miraz just stuck to a stump-to-stump-line. Sometimes spinners have to bowl in a particular place to get more out of a surface and Raza did just that.

Its akin to I think the Southhampton Test between England and India where Moeen got more from the track than Ashwin because of areas he was bowling in.

I won't crucify you mate But I don't agree. Against England an in the Under 19 world cup this kid bowled absolute rank turners. He turned it square against Ben Ducket and made our spinners look average. I think he has a lot to offer. Simple action, yes, but by no means a part timer and a very under rated batter as Krit has said

Depends on the pitch.

Miraz and Raza were bowling on different areas ie different "surfaces". Pitches are rarely uniform throughout. Raza and Miraz couldn't be bowling in the same areas because they were bowling to different numbers of left and right handed batsmen.

Its not statistically accurate. Miraz is actually a better spinner than Taijul, all things considered. If Taijul bowled in New Zealand or South Africa as much as Miraz has, then his figures would be significantly worse.

At home since his debut, Miraz has been as good as Taijul. Slightly better when you factor that his economy rate is a bit better than Taijul's. And actually Taijul's figures are boosted by this 11 wicket haul against Zimbabwe, so coming into this game, Miraz was significantly better. One single game isn't enough to say Miraz is not as good as Taijul. Plus Taijul is 26 and Miraz is 21 and with spinners getting better with age, Miraz should have the upper hand.
