I am really perplexed by this fixation on Brian Chari. The boy has only two two innings to prove himself and half the time he is inactive becuase of as he doesn't play ODI cricket for the country. Now if you guys proffered those reasons for why you didn't want him in the side I would understand. But the reason you given; ie Craig Ervbine is better, Ryan Bulr is better are not valid. Craig Ervine hasn't done anything worthwhile for two years, and he plays far much more cricket. It took us a while before we finally surrendered to the fact that he cant play T20 cricket even when some of us pointed this out years back. He is hopeless against spin and equally suspect against pace so whats the point?
Ryan Burl looked technically good in SA but still didn't make that opportunity count. So he had his chance too, let Chari get his turn and stop hopping up and about.
Burl and Ervine have FC averages in the 40s. Despite his poor form of late, Ervine averages 30+ in Tests and ODIs.
Chari averages next to nothing in FC and is at Maruma levels in internationals.

1st ODI Zimbabwe had Bangladesh ar 139/6 ended up conceding 271, 1st Test had them at 19/4 Bangladesh ended up getting 143. Today they had Bangladesh at 33/3 off the hook now. Common theme? A combination of poor captaincy and inconsistency. Zimbabwe just dont have that killer instinct.
Well, Ervine did score more in a single innings in SL last year than Chari's entire Test tally.
I don't think it's that much of a fringe stance to say that Ervine would have been a better bet than Chari in this series.

Absolutely. Ervine, Raza, Taylor, and now Williams are the undroppable players for ZIM. Also Jarvis, and Cremer. And reluctantly Hamilton.
