Wow that was a good shot from Brian C. Let’s hope this is his day.

Yup. Impressed me too. The pitch is still not doing too much hopefully he hangs around

Chari should bat on off stump to the seamers, Takes that problem away immediately.

As soon as Hammy sweeps square he looks better than those laps off a ball not quite there.

And his front foot is not planted when he’s in his shot. He keeps doing that. A more solid forward press and maybe a slightly wider stance would help there. When do they sign me up?

You can’t pick these technical things up too easily until you see it in slo-mo

Yes, those slow-mo were revealing, but it makes you really wonder what the selectors are thinking. You're not going to go places in Test cricket with a problem like that.

Zimbabwe have shut down shop very early. I don't mind it much, but I always feel it is good to keep scoring runs as you will bat out time anyways. Saving the follow on in itself will make it difficult for Bangladesh to push for a win as they will have to bat again.

Now two or three quick wickets and you find you don't have too much on the board anyways.

Or you try him with a floating front foot so he has to plant. Alistair Cook played with a floating front foot.
At the end of the day it doesn’t matter how ugly it looks as long as it’s effective, but the fundamentals have to be there and he’s going to be found out time and again. Burl is the guy that needs a shot. Technically very good and fantastic hand eye co-ordination.

I'm watching Chari bat, and i'm cringing. The fact Ryan Burl and Craig Ervine are both in this squad, and neither can get a game ahead of Brian Chari shows the incompetence of the selection committee. I don't wish Chari ill luck, but I just don't like seeing his name on the scoresheet. Of what I'm seeing right now, there's seriously better club cricketers in Manchester who could look better and probably score more freely.
