How can we fault your logic, Crimson. Spot on all round. I just think the selectors are reluctant to take some hard decisions, with regards to those three spinners and Prosper Utseya. No matter: the new coach will probably sweep the room when he comes in after the West Indies tour or the World Cup. That way everybody can pretend its the decision of a new order and save face.

Alot of people arent going to like what I say here but, in my opinion I dont really see anything special about keegan meth in his bowling. Dont get me wrong he is a decent batsman and an excellent fielder, his bowling on the other hand looks far to gentle for me theres no pace there. In my opinion he would get smashed all over by class international sides.

I had a strange dream last night. I dreampt that Zimbabwe were playing the West Indies in the World Cup. Blignaut and Marilliar were playing. We lost the toss and were asked to bowl. We didn't do too well, though Bliggy managed 4 wickets and Jarvis taking 2. When we came to bat Taylor and Vermuelan were to open. Vermuelan went first ball and Mazakadza soon followed. Enter Greg Lamb. He ripped the Windies bowling attack apart along side Brendon Taylor, who pulled Kemar Roach for a monster 6. Blignaut entered when 6 was needed off the last 5 overs. He tonked Dwayne Bravo over his head for a straight 6. I don't know why Lamb was in at 4, and why Blignaut or Marrilliar was playing. But hopefully it's a sign of things to come. Fingers crossed

I was watching the highlights that were posted on the forum. (Thanks brm and crimson). The hardest part watching is not knowing who everyone is, because there are only the numbers on their back with no names. Does anyone no the numbers that the players wear and can anyone tell me who the white bowler is with the white streak in the hair (i think he was in blue and had a really exaggerated outswing action) and who the coloured left hand medium bowler is ( i think he was in red).

What about Gavin Ewing for the Windies?

Thanks zimfan, i thought it might have been Meth. I would have to agree with zulu then and say that Meth only looks like a part time international bowler. Certainly a different type of action.
Its nice to see the competition for spots and the return of some old faces.

Yeah it would have been a decent selection, but i think Greg Lamb has taken that spot. Greg Lamb's been a far more consistant performer with the ball than Gavin Ewing, who's hardly bowled atall this season. But in fairness, Ewing has impressd me with the bat this year. He looks stronger and it seems to me as though he's tightened his technique up quite significantly. He actaully wouldn't be a bad choice for the T20 World cup in the West Indies, his power hitting could be used to good effecft.
I've been very disapointed with Mark Vermuelan though. His technique looks very suspect to me. He leans towards the off-side far to much. Campbell needs to help this boy, beacause i think it's fair to say that (on his day) he can be very destructive.

My T20 sqaud defintly brings diffrent players into the equation such as Ewing, Skadiner Raza and Greg Strydom and you never know Blignaut may make himself avaliable.

Oh my, how wonderful wound it be to have Blignaut in the team. He, Chigumbura, Taylor and possibly Coventry/Skadiner Raza. It'd be brilliant. My T20 Squad will be up soon. Just need to figure out who'd miss out. What a wondeful position to be in
I've never seen Strydom play. What's he like Zimfan1 ?? Or anybody that can help me out here

And we were home and dry with 4.5 overs to spare! Hoping that you are talking about T20 world cup, this result would have done a world of good for the net run rate as well, if we ever needed that to come into equation...

Let us know by what margin we won in the finals, if this dream continues over the coming fortnight
