Just had a listen to Sean Williams at the press conference. He speaks well, I didn’t expect that, dunno why.
He has obviously had captaincy aspirations for a while.
I don’t like the fact that he mentioned he, Ervine and Jarvis were working with some of the new guys, you shouldn’t have to be doing that at international level.
You sell a little piece of your soul to the devil when you take on this job, it may be the toughest gig on the planet.
Let’s see if he’s tough enough to butt heads with the muppets when they interfere, which is inevitable. It’s about absolute control and they can’t run a tuck shop.

I would love to see Ed Byrom in the Sydney Grade comp.

WA is no mug competition, but Sydney grade is next level. Top teams would easily be as good as the mid level county sides.

Actually I wonder if that’s still true, as the Big Bash may be sucking a lot of talent as 20+ guys (not just Sydney based BBL teams) are being drawn up to the competition.

It’ll still be much higher than WA though.
