All the best to both teams.

The number of deliveries on his legs that Prince has failed to put away is shocking for a test match opener. He closes himself off to the legside which limits his scoring shots to the off side.

If Ervine or Masvaure can bat for a long time it would go a long way for Zimbabwe. Taijul is a good test bowler (definitely enjoy watching him do well... against others teams) and having one of the lefties at the crease limits how dominant he can be.

Can anyone from Bangladesh or India (or anywhere else this game is being streamed) confirm if it's a difficult pitch? Tino said something about grass on the surface earlier, curious if there has been much seam/spin.

Yes. His technique looks very limiting. He is managing to tough things out a bit this year but his potential for big scores is sketchy.

There has been swing and there is plenty of turn. Haven't seen heaps of seam movement.

A stop gap to be honest, I can't see him being a force in the white ball stuff. But batting through a session is a significant achievement, we don't have any other openers who can do that at the moment so I can't question his selection at the moment.
