So many options were better than taking Maruma over. Moor, Richmond, Burl, heck, I'd back Shingi to score more test runs than Maruma.

At least Maruma improved his average slightly haha. Seriously though, I see his high score is 10...I wonder how many times he's reached double figures in his career.

You will think keven ZC will never pick him again after this tour bar a miracle second innings.

Nearly 32. 13 years of failing. Small sample size sure but more than most get.

With so many young guys coming through he really shouldn’t be looked at again. Even if he piles on the runs in Logan Cup.

Well batted Craig Ervine!

3rd Test century

6th International hundred ( only the 6th Zim player to get there this many times)

11th FC ton

20th Career century ( 12th Zimbabwean to this milestone - draws level with Campbell)

Brilliant effort by Craig as captain but we still need him. He needs to push on.

As for Maruma. I don't know . It's not like he was scoring hundreds this season but they still picked him. Sometimes some people just can't crack the international scene. It happens. I mean they shelved Mutizwa for far less.

Mutizwa was far better than Maruma. He just didn't get enough chances.

Its a crime that Craig has only played 18 tests.
