Brilliant effort by Craig as captain but we still need him. He needs to push on.

As for Maruma. I don't know . It's not like he was scoring hundreds this season but they still picked him. Sometimes some people just can't crack the international scene. It happens. I mean they shelved Mutizwa for far less.
Its a crime that Craig has only played 18 tests.
Yeah, even with the few games we play he should have had more

Hopefully he can stay for a couple more years. Maybe 4 or even 5 if he can endure it. Class batsman, which is rare to come by for us.

Maruma shouldn't have even been picked in the squad after a duck in the last game. Statistically he'd have to be the worst batsman in history? 35+ international games with an average of 10, it's nuts. Mutombodzi, Burl, Moor - all deprived of a spot because of this unbelievable selection.

Nice knock Ervine, good stuff!
Ervine, Williams, Taylor - all scored centuries on debut as captain.

I had a bad feeling Craig would get out, the single to go to 107 from the over before he was limping with extreme fatigue.

Yeah, we're cooked now. An unlikely Ervine double ton was about the only chance we had. I'd expect us to get rolled tomorrow morning for about 250, Bangladesh to pile on about 600 declared and then bowl us out for an innings win.

An Eton educated colonial Bangladeshi commentator
Painful to listen to.
Well done Capt! Great knock.
Ya the Maruma issue is vexing. Incompetent selectors with their little balls held in a glass jar around Makoni’s neck.

These two have to fight us through to 275 - 280 and then tip toe over 300.

Poor Chakabva he's always in these situations of survival. A combined 50+ runs from the tail is probably all we can hope for. Let's better hope Tshuma is good at bowling.
