I agree Nyauchi is a decent third seamer, but the third seamer needs to be able to bat a bit.
Tiripano is averaging 50 with the ball into his 10th Test, that tells you something. The whole bowling attack is awful with out Chatara & Jarvis

Runs were briefly flowing for a 5 over period once Tshuma got introduced. With just lefties at the crease, its just going to be a 3 man attack with Tiripano, Nyauchi, and Raza unless Tshuma comes back on.

I think its only because of the plethora of LHBs. Saif only lasted a handful of deliveries.

Does ZIM have any more Test scheduled this year? They really should be playing 5-6 Tests a year.
Just saw the FTP a few days ago...Bangladesh will be touring ZIM in next year for 2 Tests and again in 2022 or 2023 for 2 more Tests. So the next 4 tests will be in Zimbabwe.

It depends how you measure how fast a bowler is.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 7:33 amHas Chatara hit 140 since breaking his leg a few years ago? I think Jarvis has been around 135-137 since he came back from Lancs. I'd imagine Chatara is around the same pace. He hit 144 in the 2014 series in BD, which was really fast!
My observation is the forum tends to flip between measuring a pacer by his fastest ball or his stock delivery.
Blignaut is a great example. On his day, he could hit 148. We have three recorded times he has done so. However his stock delivery was about 128/129. Many times he would come in south of 125. I strongly recall the last ball I ever saw him bowl was 122. 2010 T20 cup.
So is he a 140+ bowler? Or a 129 bowler who is capable of a quicker one?
In today’s world. Kyle Jarvis is about 126 consistently. Old Kyle a bit quicker but new Kyle has slowed down. He tells us himself. He can bend himself to get to early kid 130s but that’s it, and to me he’s a mid 120s.
Chatara is consistently around 128. Can get to 140 on the rarest ball, but few and far between to be relevant. Breaking his leg killed his pace. He rarely gets north of 130. His pace has always been overrated as he’s always had a slow stock delivery.
