Luke Jongwe had bad luck, he was someone evolving as an allrounder bowling at 140+ kph in flat tracks of UAE against Afghans back in 2014 and playing quickfire knocks at lower order. Makhaya Ntini's negetive view was harsh on Jongwe finished his game at his prime time.

He is performing now and should have included in shorter formats against Bangladesh
He never bowled close to that speed, more like 130-132, max
You may check some recorded videos. He was frequently hitting 140+ or close to 140 in flat UAE tracks, also had a match winning 5 for in his name in one of the game.He is muscular build in, should have been differant now, if not dropped for non cricketing reasons.

Tiripano is one dimmensional slow pacer, doesnt have any kind of venom to trouble batsman at international level. He has failed to make worth of his domestic stats both with bat & ball. I would rather bring back Neville Madziva who has got quality both with bat & ball can be precious in shorter formats.
Find me a video of him touching 87mph and I’ll happily eat humble pie

Pretty sure there were no speed guns for a ZIM-AFG series in UAE. The matches hadn't even had a broadcaster until a couple of years ago. Even now, Ireland's broadcasts are merely webstreams, albeit decent quality.

I've seen Solomon Mire hitting 137 but he's probably a 130 kph bowler. Jongwe during the series in BD was around the 130-132 mark...if he hit 140, you can believe people would be talking about on the forum.

And a few others. Several people talk about Mitigumu because we all saw him clocking 140 at the 2016 WC.

Yea but his action was awful. Really fell away and his wrist was pointing towards fine leg, yet he still clocked in at 87mph. Imagine what he’s like now if he’s been trained and fine tuned?
I wonder why he’s not been given a chance at Provincial Level

Talking about 2014 Zimbabwe tour of UAE against Afghans. Live telecast was provided by NEO Sports ( Nimbus Television ) Channel & One Sports Channel in middle east.Jongwe was evolving as new star in that series, a muscular build had pace with swing and an asset with the bat at the lower order.

Ntini was the reason for his disappearance.

It’s just you said check the recorded videos..

I know which series you meant, 2015. That’s when Moor was given the chance to open and scored two half centuries.

Honestly, by this point I'd be happy to put money together to make Sloan our coach.

I’d be shot within 24 hours hours of working there.
Some of these guys need to be spoken to frankly and bluntly.
