Ah, I already love the teams of jaybro and eugene with KCS and KW respectively.
KW was mine...eugene stole him. Still I'm happy to have a multidimensional batter like Mushy in my side.

I was tempted by someone else but then I thought - I have to take my fellow kiwi Kane Williamson. I wonder when the first Zimbabwean will be selected?

I thought foreignfield would go for Williamson once he lost Sangakkara to jaybro.

Two Bangas in the top 8 of all the players in the last 10 years of ODI cricket; mushy went very high I reckon whilst Shakib wouldn’t make top 10 even possibly top 20 for his bowling or batting; but his all-round skills make him a good pick.

Idk if I specified, but an all-rounder's score will actually be the average of his batting and bowling...it won't be additive. Shakib is underachieving with the bat if you look at the numbers. An average of 38 is quite mediocre. He has the ability to average closer to 50 - as he showed at the World Cup. HIs bowling is solid but not spectacular.

I wanted KW at 8 and then would have tried to look for a Mushy in round 3...although IDK if he'd still be there.

So do you have to designate your 50 overs of bowling?

Mushy's record is almost as good as Steve Smith's and Smith went in the top 4! In the last 5 years, Mushy surpasses Smith.

Yes, so you have to designate at least 5 bowlers, be they specialists or all-rounders. If you have more all-rounders you can designate them...but the all rounders will all be weighed equally. For example, say you have 3 specialist bowlers and 3 all-rounders. The 3 specialists will all count for 1 each. The 3 all-rounders will then count for 2/3 each = which gives you a total of 5.

This will force you to do some math haha. But what you could do is not bowl an all-rounder. For example, if foreignfield picks another 5 guys who can bowl...he can choose to play Shakib as a pure batsmen and not bowl any overs. Shakib would then be scored solely on his batting stats.

I hope this is not too nebulous...

Are you saying Mushy is as good as Smith?

We had this discussion before when you tried to put Mushy in the same class as Kohli, Smith & Kane whilst also arguing Babar isn’t in the same class as Mushy.

IIRC no one supported your view on this?
