So my final side is

1. Brendan McCullum (captain)
2. Rohit Sharma
3. Kumar Sangakkara wk
4. Mahela Jayawardene
5. JP Duminy
6. Shane Watson
7. Sikander Raza
8. Dale Steyn
9. Kagiso Rabada
10. Kuldeep Yadav
11. Mohammed Amir
I like your side even more now after your last two picks; only three players there whom I feel indifferent about (Sharma, Yadav, Amir), but not one I positively dislike.

Sangawardene reunited! I had my eye on Mahela from the outset but just couldn't find a place for him. I still envy you the chance to draft Sangakkara in round one; that would have totally altered the make-up and balance of my side. In that case I would certainly have picked Mahela instead of a specialist keeper (as much as I love Tibba). ... 3./4. Sangawardene, 5. Misbah, 6. Shiv ...
Thanks Foreignfield; to be honest Rohit, Amir & Kuldeep were not my first picks; I would have rather had Hashim Amla, Starc & Rashid Khan. But I do like the 3 guys I picked especially Amir; as I said it’s the players with great techniques and beautiful bowling actions I admire and Amir have a lovely smooth action.

Another admission I must make is that I knew you’d take Kumar in the 1st round so I had to secure him whilst I had the chance. I also wanted to pick Kevin Pietersen; but in the end I chose Mahela due to his slighter better record during the last decade & the chance to reunite one of the games all-time greatest partnerships Sangawardene

Some great choices there 81 onwards. Some of those picks should have been done long ago. Finch, Morgan, Rahul,...

I'm still on course to put up a decent best of the rest XI at the end of it :)

I almost chose Raza over Klaassen, but wanted to free up AB as a fielder so Klaassen got the nod as a specialist wicketkeeper and having a better average. Plus, Curran gives me my Zim connection.

I also feel I have 5 strike bowlers who could bowl at any moment in an innings and would be a threat. Curran especially has developed well as a genuine all rounder of late and showed his class in the BBL. Marnus is an extra spin option too and fills in as a part time bowler.

Like I said, I don't expect my side to be popular, but on figures, they are definitely a very strong squad, who you would not second guess the top 5 getting 300 on their own.

His 2010 stats are so poor that I was even tempted to pick Vusi on the off-chance that if someone played a simulation video game all weekend Vusi would at least once nail a stunning, aesthetically uber-perfect pull shot off Steyn, Mitchell Johnson or Trent Boult and leave me dazed with wondrous oblivion (and let me forget the anguished look on his face while he contemplates the 49th duck in 50 innings) ... but in my mind at least I'm drafting players at the height of their powers, and therefore Rahul Dravid completes my line-up, takes guard as my no. 3, and seals my Team's place in the 8th/9th play-off where we will happily start as underdogs.

1. Tendulkar
2. Hafeez
3. Dravid
4. Misbah (c)
5. Shiv Chanderpaul
6. Shakib
7. Taibu (wk)
8. Oram
9. Bond
10. Tait
11. Ngidi

Batting-wise this is not a side eyeing 350, but I still believe I've got enough steel in my middle order and enough maverick potential to suddenly change gear with Misbah & Shiv to somehow scrape together something remotely resembling a competitive total ... and then I kindly refer the opposition's stroke-makers to my pace trio :) Oram will keep the runs down and the batsmen honest; his av. and econ. compare favourably with some frontline bowlers selected. Shakib lends some much-needed balance to my side. He's not up there with the best spinners, but the only spinners I contemplated were all genuin no. 11s of which I already have two, and therefore I'd like to think he can do the job. In real life Hafeez adds another handy bowling option and would complement Shakib well, but under the current rules of this game Misbah won't throw him the ball.

Ah, that felt good, Rahul Dravid getting roped in. Yeah, he was coming to the end of his career by 2011 but people forget how effective an ODI player he was with 10000+ runs, just because Dravid the test player is an even bigger legend and because Kohli redefined India ODI no. 3 after him.

98) Mosaddek Hossain - not statistically huge yet, but a batter of immense potential IMO.

Over to rusty for the very last pick in the draft.
