Okay now i know we've already had a thread for this topic, but i'd like to know what everybodys T20 World Cup Squad will be. When we last discussed this, the West Indies tour wasn't even started. So having seen the guys play out there, what would your squad be, considering that many batsmen in the Windies series failed Here's mine:
1. Mark Vermuelan.
2. Dougie Marrilliar.
3. Sean Williams.
4. Tatenda Taibu.
5. Brendan Taylor.
6. Andy Blignaut.
7. Elton Chigumbura.
8. Gavin Ewing.
9. Graeme Cremer.
10. Tendai Chitara.
11. Ray Price. ( Skipper )
12th man: Keegan Meth
Other members of my squad would be:
Greg Strydom.
Charles Coventry.
Craig Ervine.
Im going to pick my squad based on the fact that Prosper Utseya will not be sacked as Captain.
1. Hamilton Masakadza
2. Brendan Taylor
3. Sean Williams
4. Tatenda Taibu
5. Justice Chibabha
6. Charles Coventry
7. Forster Mutiwa
8. Elton Chigumbura
9. Greg Lamb
10.Andy Blignaut (if not avaliable Keegen Meth)
11.Prosper Utseya
12.Ray Price
13.Greame Cremer
14.Shrinagi Masakadza
15.Tendai Chitara
No room for Mariller as i saw him play in the T20 series and apart form one decent score he just looked way of the pace required in this fast action game. I think Lamb can play a key role as a bowling allrounder on spining wickets and that Chitara may have that little bit of extra pace that we need.
Meth misses out as i think we only have spaces for two bowling allrounders and Blignaut takes the second spot if he wants to play for Zimbabwe again, but Meth is defiantly one for the future.
