Stuart Matsikenyeri - although played in UK, was always available for national selection
Edward Rainsford - although played in UK, was always available for national selection
Elton Chigumbura - although played in UK, was always available for national selection
Chamu Chibhabha - although played in WI, was always available for national selection

If you consider the other support staff, Walter Chawaguta and Machikicho might count as well...

Actually, andy had covered the eight names you were looking for zimfan1, so you might want to award the point to him instead, he had 3 extra names to my two.

All the 4 gentlemen have one thing in common: they share playing at a particular batting position for their country at the highest level. Which position is that?

Yes it is!

Graeme Smith batted at 11 in a test match with injury against the Aussies recently. Srinath began as a genuine no.11 before his "pinch-hitting" abilities promoted him higher. Pommie was a true no. 11 while Prosper has batted at no.11 in ODIs purely because of superior batting talent of other 10 in the team. Else, he is way better than your average no. 11.

Damn !! I had no idea that Graeme Smith had batted at no.11. I remember whatching him bat at number 10 against England in 2004/05 when he had a injury to his calf, but never 11

He has never batted at no. 10 in any form of the game at the highest level. If he had, then even that would have been a correct answer. All the other 3 have played at no. 10 as well :)
