I like this guy. He's ruthless and aims to move the side forward, something that has been lacking in this side for a while. Glad he's in the setup, and i hope Steven's here to stay

The same Steven Mangongo who shouted out to Dion Ebrahim " who are you with? the racists or the real Zimbabweans"sloandog wrote:I like this guy. He is a Zanu PF slug period, should not be allowed anywhere near our national team regardless of his so called "coaching abilties".

Re: Mangongo to team: Perform or Perish
Mangongo is a bum who knows little about cricket. We have been hearing this message of perform or else for years yet the same players keep getting picked simply because we have few others to choose from.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Steve has good cricket coaching competencies,he has assisted in molding a lot of players both black and white so with respect to cricket coaching he has paid his dues and on my interactions with him has been a hard fair man..trust me would rather have him that some CEO's I interact with, life is harsh and at times there is no place for pussyfooting within an environment.... so lets keep all within context, this is a cricketing forum after-all and Steve knows how to use his methods to get the nest out of his players

Re: Mangongo to team: Perform or Perish
Mangongo's politics aside, I think his record with Zim 'A' / Zim XI and Mountaineers speaks for itself. They've been successful under him, for the most part - he's clearly doing something right. But it's also true that we've been hearing "perform or perish" from many in ZC for years now, and nobody's followed through on the bluster yet.
