I am not sure about the "several" part. I would not actually look for match winning knock, if they are knocks full of character even in a losing cause, they are fine.zimfan1 wrote:Im sorry but that is way to harsh on matsikenyeri, in his career for the national team he has won serveral games for us and is very good in the field and provides a decent spin option.
I can think of 3 knocks in particular (in ODIs):
1. Natwest Tri-series Vs Eng (2003): Helped Grant take us home scoring about 44 runs
2. In Bangladesh last year, opening match, match winning partnership with Chiggs
3. Against SA, that stunning partnership with Taibu when he scored about 90.
These were top class knocks. There might be a few more, but I cant say there were "several", considering he has played 100+ matches.
Not singling him out though, same is true with many others too, including Taylor, Vusi, Coventry. Their flashes of brilliance have been too sporadic.
Only Masakadza, Williams and to a lesser extent Taibu can claim to have done comparitively better.
