I must agree with those who say that Greg Lamb should still be in the side. I think that he has been solid with the bat, and economical with the ball. The only change that should be made is in the bowlers. We will have to make a decision, probably on the day depending on the pitch, as to who gets left out. Bring Taibu in, evan though Taylor was fantastic with the gloves taibu is something special. This will mean that we are gonna have to find a few over's from Blignaut.
But the thing i am happiest about is that we have a good pool of players to pick from. Add Sean Ervine and Sean Williams to the equation as well as some of the up in coming youngsters our batting looks promising. And with Rainsford Chitara, and Blignaut if he does bowl. Our fast bowling seems to be getting stronger and it was our weak point. Spinners well we have more choice than most which is always a good place to be.
Ya i agree, but while Williams and Ervine are not in the side i reckon the side that beat India should not be tweaked. There' stability with the bat, depth with the ball and the fielding is always impressive with any Zimbabwean side. We just need to keep performing and win games. I mean I'm not too sure as to weather or not you guys know this, but Nasser Hussain was praising Zimbabwe in the England Test Match. He said "Zimbabwe have some very talented players and altough they took and early exit in the T20 World Cup, they beat both Pakistan and Australia in the warm up matches. We just need to keep an eye on Zimbabwe, they're the team to whatch out for"
Coming from Nasser Hussain that's fantastic, and its only been one win. Imagine if we could win the series !!
I would get rainsford in for Cremer next match, rainsford has a good record against the Sri Lankans and they have a stronger batting side than india so will need to get wickets early methinks
1. Brendan Taylor
2. Hamilton Masakadza
3. Sean Williams
4. Tatenda Taibu
5. Craig Ervine
6. Charles Coventry/Greg Lamb
7. Elton Chigumbura
8. Andy Blignaut/Prosper Utseya
9. Graeme Cremer
10. Ray Price
11. Kyle Jarvis
Imagine if we tweaked Sean Ervine somewhere in there? And a in the tail (at 8 or 9)...
Ya i agree, would be a fierce line up
Actually at the moment Andy Blignaut is looking like the odd one o bowling improves. This line-up looks very strong and if Sean Ervine could be slotted in it would be even stronger. Imagine this line-up!

Lol! I think this is Eugene's ideal Test squad and I'm not sure Coventry fits the profile. But I'm sure he will be a fixture in that one day squad
Who would Coventry come in for? Craig Ervine or Sean Williams I guess.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

From what we have seen of him sor far, Craig Ervine cannot be replaced. Incidentally he already looks better than Sean Williams, which seemed inconceivable a year ago, that anyone could bat better. He picks gaps, rotates strike, finds boundaries, solid in defence... the complete batsman. Now to get Sean Ervine...
