He has allways been good against pace, its just that he cant play spin at all well and considering that most of our tours are to either Asia or the West Indies it is hard for him to get into the side.
You should have seen him against Australia A a few years ago. He struggles against spin but give him the quickest of fast bowlers and he will dismiss with disdain
