I'd like to open a thread dedicated to some of our younger players. It may include guys that play Under 19's Cricket for Zimbabwe or have done recently, or younger players on the Under 15's or 17's or 18's. The thread may include Pictures, Videos and of course comments
In 2010 we all whatched some of our future stars in the Under 19's Cricket World Cup In New Zealand, and in all honesty it was a poor showing. I think it outlined how much work is needed at the younger ages to perform at the highest level, though there were signs of hope. In watching the tournament we had our first Glimpses of some possible Future Zimbabwean Stars.
Pete Moore looks to have a solid technique and powerful wrists enabling him to hit the ball hard. Here's a picture of Pete in action:

I would like to say the future is good, just was not impressed by coach at the time and i reckon Robin Brown will do a better job, preparations were ad hoc, once we get a good system in place Zim is a hotbed for cricket talent.
Sloandog you should put your picture first, you are part of the future.

Sorry I can't find the one of me batting, but I'd prefer this thread to be about our current youngsters as i cant class myself as a future star. But thankyou Shumbat
By the way this picture was taken 12 months ago, the hair do looks completly different now
Tendai Chitara looks to be (Next to Kyle Jarvis) our brightest light in terms of finding a genuine 90mph bowler. This lad needs to be looked after as he could do some real damage in the future. Here he is bowling against Ireland:
Another top quality youngster that needs to be looked after is rookie leg spinner Dylan Higgins. Not only can he Spin the ball, but he can bat too. Again he's a guy we must look after, he could be a real asset to us in our Future Test matches. Here he is bowling against the Black Caps:

If anything he could work a little bit on his action as it's not the most natural leg spinners technique you would wish to see. He's no Shane Warne, but he could be with some hard work.

Well it's funny you should say that mate because I've recently come across a picture of him batting for Falcon College, and of what I hear has a solid technique. Ah here's the picture, It was hiding at the bottom. Corey Van Rensberg:

Of what I here, he's a star in the making, though his future is uncertain as he's an excellent rugby player aswell. Gosh they boys are talented !

Have I remembered incorrectly or is Corey van Rensburg more interested in playing rugby than cricket?

Somebody that must also be mentioned is Nathan Waller. who showed great promise with both bat and ball. He's by no means the quickest (Bowling in the mid 70's isn't classed as quick by any means), but he can swing the ball both ways and can play a superb lofted cover drive, a shot he demonstrated superbly against New Zealand.
