Aah man! Would have loved to see Murali reach 1000 test wickets.
But this guy is a real champion and sportsman!
So Long! And I doubt any bowler is going to reach 700 test wickets.
Murali retiring after Galle!

Re: Murali retiring after Galle!
What a shame. I used to love watching this man bowl in his younger days. I think when England toured Sri Lanka in 2003, that was probably the best spin bowling I've ever seen, and i mean ever ! I dont think Ajantha Mendis will be anything like Murali. Ya, he'll have some tricks up his sleeve but he'll never be a test match quality spinner who can spin the ball the opposite way just as much as his off-spinner. A real shame, but I wish him all the best. He been a great servant to test and ODI cricket. Thankyou Marali

I think Dale Steyn and possibly Mohmmed AAmir may reach 500 test wickets, but I'm struggling to find a spinner who can match thatbayhaus wrote:I don't think there is ANYONE in the current crop of players world wide who will even achieve Half what murali!
Re: Murali retiring after Galle!
Once we return to test match cricket Graeme Cremer should pick up at least 500 wickets.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Half of Murali I hope you mean. He'll get to 500 test wickets definitely. He's by far the best fast bowler in the world today. By a country mile !bayhaus wrote:Yeah at the rate he is going Dale steyn can get to just over HALF!Dale Steyn and possibly Mohmmed AAmir may reach 500 test wickets
And I agree Eugene, I reckon Graeme Cremer could take 500 test wickets as long as he stays fit and continues to bowls how he currently bowls.
