Batsmen who you think are better than Stuart Matsikenyeri

Post by eugene »

Stuart Matsikenyeri's recent axing from the Mountaineers team has led to some questioning if he is still one of the countries best batsmen. Some people stated that he isn't and would be fortunate to be picked up by another franchise. I am interested to know who those of us in the anti-Matsikenyeri group on this forum think is better and should be chosen ahead of him. Since I am one of the leaders of the anti-Matsikenyeri group I will start the ball rolling with my list of batsmen who I think are better or show more potential for the future.

1. Hamilton Masakadza
2. Brendan Taylor
3. Sean Williams
4. Elton Chigumbura
5. Tatenda Taibu
6. Craig Ervine
7. Charles Coventry
8. Vusi Sibanda
9. Chamu Chibhabha
10. Andy Blignaut
11. Forster Mutizwa

Anyone want to add more to list or take some names off?

I like the thread you've posted Eugene, and since I'm also against Stuart, I'll have a crack at who's better than him currently.

Brendan Taylor
Hamilton Mazakadza
Sean Williams
Craig Ervine
Malcolm Waller
Foster Mutizwa
Vusi Sibanda
Charles Coventry - May not have the most solid technique, but he's got unbelievable amounts of talent and a superb eye.
Andy Blignaut
Elton Chigumbura
Justice Chibhaba
Ryan Butterworth
Greg Lamb - Possibly...

I think, neither Hamilton Masakadza, nor Brendan Taylor, but the rest are simply the best especially when we talk of the real life cricket news or latest cricket news.

That hardly puts Matsi out of the top 55 in the country as you ludicrously claimed the other day.

People are also confusing this thread.

It is not people who you would rather watch bat than Matsi. It depends on the job you want done. Most of these batsmen I would rather watch play than Matsi but if you want someone with integrity, skill, experience and the ability to do a job then Matsi is someone you must pick.

yeah, you would think there was an other motive given the Matsi hate we have here from some people.
