Mature innings by Wes though. Sure it had its flaws but should bring him lots of confidence to know he can grind it out against a world class Australian line up

Playing encouragingly against quality bowlers and giving a 5-for to the most inoccuous bowler in the opposition is the most Zimbabwean thing to do. Cameron Green? Come on...

We've done this in the past with Mark Ealham, Saurav Ganguly, Darren Sammy...

I'm not suggesting they swing at everything, but they needed boundaries, they had a platform to get 240. Burl was a good example, tries to hit it behind square with that wristy flick where he keeps closing his bat on it and gets a leading edge.
Evans needs to keep it on the ground, he gets caught every time. Or get in some hard yards boundary hitting.

Worrying that Raza struggled.
Madhevere played well.

I don't agree. They had to go. Wickets in hand and 7 overs.
The pitch is not easy and they're not assessing it. Bang it straighter.
They didn't have to go the way they did. They were going without thought.

They should have been smarter in their approach. Not every ball had to be go for it. The approach of just go big means we only just got to 200 and didn't even finish our 50 overs. We should have got to 230 easily at a minimum.

When you lose two wickets in an over in the exact same way, that's just not smart cricket.
Couldn't agree more. That as brainless cricket as you'd get. Totally stupid. 230-235 is what they should have realistically targeted.
