Batsman of the year should of definitely gone to Brendan Taylor I think.
I don't think Chigumbura should of been cricketer of the year. In terms of international cricket he hasn't done much, has he?
I thought Sharne Meyers would get female cricketer of the years though

Re: ZC Awards - Live Coverage
I think Elton's award is fair enough.
Vusi, though... he's had a few good knocks, and just as many really poor ones. Too inconsistent to be "batsman of the year', for what my opinion's worth...

I think the first thing that we need to ask is what are the basis for these awards? I think domestically Vusi Sibanda performed exceptionally well to derserve the title. Though internationally he didnt do much in the one day team, he performed well for the Zim XI side. I dont think amongst the ODI players there is any one who performed well enough beyond Vusi's expoits. These are the CBZ Zimbabwe Cricket Awards. And as such they should reflect cricket in Zimbabwe as a whole.maehara wrote:I think Elton's award is fair enough.

The same can be said for Elton with his all round contribution both to his franchise side Eagles and the Senoir Zimbabwean Side.
Thumbs Up to ZIMBABWE CRICKET on this one!

Congrats to the winners, well deserved honours. In the batsman category, as tawac says, it includes all performances of the last season, and Vusi must have marginally edged out Hamilton. Taylor had quite a slump in the middle of the season as well.
