I'm not a Matsi hater, but on this occasion it's a justified question. He can't currently be assured of a place in the senior squad, so on what grounds is he in the same pay band as our elite players? It's certainly not based on his current form.

That said, that was his deal with Mountaineers last season. Rocks may well not be paying him as well this season.

I would love to know about the earnings of the the guys behind our genuine cricket i.e coaches especially development
coaches.I am sure the grade X players can pay all the coaches which is a shame, wake up ZC and franchises before
the coaches start looking for green pastures not greener.

And Terrence Duffin, Maehara? Is he in the same band as our elite players. Anyway I think in that illustration we missed the point that Eugene was making. $100 a run according to him means the man makes 50 runs in all matches the whole month. I think thats why zimfanatic9 calls it hate

Yet more Matsi hate. It is pathetic.

There is no hate here. Just questioning why he AND Terry Duffin were grade x players. I think you are taking yourself a bit too seriously.

Considering we are ranked around 12th in the world for cricket, the earnings are fair, to attract foreign expertice, in coaches and players to improve our standards. As for football we are ranked around 113 and with better allocation the footballers should be earning much more than they get.

No, he isn't, as I pointed out earlier in the thread:
Duffin, Grade X? Tuskers got taken to the cleaners on that one...

We get our facts from the newspaper article quoted at the beginning of the thread:
Matabeleland’s Tuskers also have several players in Grade X — the likes of Gavin Ewing, Terrence Duffin and Charles Coventry.
I suggest reading the thread before jumping in in future.

If the "facts" as presented are wrong, take it up with The Standard - it's their report. In the meantime, there's absolutely nothing wrong with people here discussing what they're reporting.
