Like Nyauchi too but I`d play it safe and go with Muzarabani, Ngarava and Evans. Got the variety and helps lengthen the batting lineup. But yeah tough decision

Did anyone see Kyle Mayers delivery to bowl Dewald Brevis??

Oh he will be selected. He’s a decent batter and his bowling will always keep him in their XI.

Re: Text XI - Windies series
1. Kaitano
2. Ballance
3. Ervine
4. Williams (c)
5. Raza
6. Shumba
7. Chakabva (wk)
8. Mavuta
9. Ngarava
10. Nyauchi
11. Muzarabani
If Ballance opens, it solves a problem for us.
I was tossing up between the extra batsman in Burl at number eight or Mavuta. I think Mavuta's recent domestic form is too good to ignore though, and it'd be handy to have a specialist spinner who can be called upon to bowl 40 overs. I guess Burl as a specialist bowler is an option as well.
There's a lot of deserving selections at the moment, a rare problem for Zim cricket over the years!
When was the last time we were so flush for options? Probably the days when Meth, Vitori and S Masakadza were all in the mix.

Ah that's a shame, Chakabva has been a good Test batsman. Madande then, I suppose.
As for Kaitano opening - who else is there? K-Long, Kasuza, Mudzinganyama, Masvaure? All much of a muchness, at least Kaitano is the incumbent and did well.

Innocent Kaia is a certainty for the Tests I think. Kaitano has been really poor domestically for a while now.brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 1:34 pmAh that's a shame, Chakabva has been a good Test batsman. Madande then, I suppose.

Due to the hundred against Bangladesh? I guess he could be in the mix but he's not a really compelling selection either. Hopefully Ballance opens because the top order is a problem for us.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 1:41 pmInnocent Kaia is a certainty for the Tests I think. He is a seriously good bowler despite the lack of pace.
I remember when The English batsmen didn’t have a clue how to face him, we will have no clue either

Averaging 45 opening the batting across the last three Logan Cup seasons. He's a good player.brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 2:04 pmDue to the hundred against Bangladesh?
