What are the chances for Ben Curran to get into the side?

Sounds like Sean Williams will be pushing it to make it back for the 2nd test, he’s had no luck with injury recently and hasn’t played a test since scoring hundreds in his last three tests v Sri Lanka in 2020 and Afghanistan in 2021

One innings an international cricket doesn't make.

Needs to do what he did yesterday a few more times.

Also needs to open because realistically thats the only way into the Test side currently. Not sure why he is hiding at three.

I reckon Mayavo may have a shot of taking the gloves. He has scored a lot of runs over last two years.

Rumours that Jason Holder won't be available for the Test Series

Another good game by him, but it sounds like DH likes Madande and I think he will get the gloves

Joylord Gumbie is making a late play for west indies squad.

Could be him and innocent kaia opening. Has found a bit of form recently. His batting has also improved since he dropped the gloves.

Mayavo and Gumbie would struggle to score double figures in a Test match. Please no.

*me attempting to read between the lines of DH’s words

- Said Zim doesn’t have enough players to have different squads

- Has to use the same players for each format

- Kudzai Manuze was brought in as back up for t20s

- Innocent Kaia impressed him in t20s

- Innocent Kaia will open in ODIs

So in summary I assume Kaia & Manuze will open in the tests

Wouldn’t read too much into Maunze. I think he was brought in just because everyone else was playing Logan Cup whilst he/Eagles were free.
