They've beaten Bangladesh twice, run England very close both times they've met in Belfast, and gave Australia a damn good scare in Dublin earlier in the year. Don't underestimate them.
Can we only go ahead them in the ranking if we beat them 3-0?

But one thing to note about Ireland they have only beaten one full member nation since world cup 2007 and that was Bangladesh, where we have beaten Bangladesh several times the west indies, Sri Lanka and India.

So is it realy fair that ireland who get all there points against the associates are above us?

Yup. We'll go ahead of them with a win on Tuesday, but they'd be back ahead if they then won the 3rd ODI.

It's not so much who they've played that works in their favour as the number of matches they've played. Your rating is you number of ranking points, divided by the number of matches played - and since Associates play far fewer ODIs than Full Members, that lets them get far more rating points for a win than we would.

There's provision in the way the points are calculated to allow for stronger / weaker teams - they'll get less points for a win against an Associate than they would against a Full Member.

True that at list Greg Lamb gives us another bowling options. Instead of the funny experiment that go on at important times. Why have Taylor even Masakadza bowling when they dont bowl that regulary even in their fanchise sides.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
